Grounds has been the HC as Jacksonville since 2001. He was a split back veer guy who went to the spread before 2010 to be a contrarian. Fast forward 12 years and now his whole conference was in the spread. So he went back under center and went all in on the flexbone!

Coach Chavez has done an incredible job winning at a school that has long struggled. He's committed to his flexbone attack and this year they got a ton of mileage off their belly series. The use the same blocking to attack in 3 ways. All this keeps defenses off their potent toss play.

The staff at Hugoton has committed to the flexbone out of the short Pistol and they've been on a steady climb for the last 3 seasons. This year, Coach Licon started using a lot of heavy personnel on 1st downs to get ahead. Take the slots out, and replace them with big bodies.
